My friend wanted a table centerpiece for her daughter’s graduation party. Easy! You can do this to celebrate anyone for any celebration. Make it personal…use pictures or items that let the recipient’s personality shine through.
I used a black tin bucket for the base and inserted a block of foam to hold the skewers and pipe cleaners. I uploaded pictures of Jill from her Facebook page, cropped them and attached the print to glitter foam sheets and then hot glued a bamboo skewer to it. I made little mortar boards and school initials from the same foam sheets and fashioned a tassel with a pipe cleaner. Then a few more pipe cleaners where twirled up to add some interest. Use your computer to make a personal sign or you can use your own creative handwriting. Tissue paper was twisted and hot glued to cover up the foam. Tie up a bow around the container.
Don’t forget the backside…
What a great idea! Thanks for sharing these great stuff!

These are beautiful! How did you make the bases sturdy? Was something added so that they wouldn't tip over?

ReplyDeletedo you remember the sizeof the strips you made as well as the size of the squares?
ReplyDeleteProbably an inch and a half wide strips by 8" in length. The hats are 3" squares.
Deletedo you remember the length and width of the strip you cut? And the square to finish off the hat?
