Goodbye to Winter…

Today I am taking down a little vignette of snowmen and snowflakes that I set up after Christmas.  I have decided it’s generating bad karma with ‘ol man winter.  Talk about a weird winter…like most of the nation, we have had it with snow, ice and messy conditions.  We have had three significant storms, the kids have to make up 4 official days from school.  Two weeks ago, it was a warm, 64 degree day and the next day we waited for the big one to blow into town.  8” is more than we usually see in one snowfall and it is so pretty.  I took these at the 3” mark of the family.  I hope Mother Nature is finished with this stuff until next year!

There’ll be Trouble, for Sure!

If, and when, my boys ever get wind of this post, I’ll be in for it!  I promised I would not post these pictures from Scout Sunday, 2011.  But, I’m just so proud of them and all of the work they do for such a great organization.  I’m proud of the parents who volunteer to lead their troop and den and all of the cool things they get to do.  Scouting makes a huge difference in the lives of young adults and I am grateful I am a mother of a Boy and Cub Scout!
