Craft Camp Day 3: Saving the Mess (Best) for Last!

Today was the last day of craft camp for the summer and I saved the messiest project for last.  Crazy or what?  There is a soft fuzzy blanket of pink and green burlap shred all over the kitchen and it even found it's way onto my computer screen!  Oh was worth it to watch these great young ladies use all kinds of skills today!  Did I mention that I had 10 girls here at one time?  We spread ourselves to every corner of space!
They learned to trace and cut patterns...

They learned to mix solutions by blending...
submerging fabrics and spreading them to dry.
They learned to iron...even the tiniest ironed their own!
to create these beautiful huge poppies to hang on their walls!

We also learned to count measurements and cut lengths of yarn to make tassles.
 Kinda went tassle crazy...

but it's all a part of the fun!
Sure am gonna miss all of the summer kids...they have taught me so much
this summer.  They learned that you don't have to be artistic to be just have to try and be amazed at what you can create!
