Queenie Eileenie Craft Camp Summer of 2016.Cooking Week!

Monday was Italian with pesto and pasta, Chicken Piccata and Cherry and almond biscotti.

We started by cutting fresh basil out of my yard, learned how to run a Cuisinart, how to toast pine nuts, how to test pasta when it is done. They also mastered preparing chicken cutlets and how to saute to a golden brown.  They weren't fans of the capers on the piccata, but gobbled everything else up!
The kids decorated mugs and took home their biscotti in them.

Then we got on to the biscotti...a great recipe, so try it!

We also made a quick glaze with confectioner's sugar, melted butter ans almond extract and drizzled it on.  If you like biscotti, you'll love this recipe!

Wednesday we had a dessert war...4 desserts and the lemon bars won!  Try these recipes out...very good!  We made s'more bars, lemon bars, Martha Washington candy and Pineapple Upside down Trifle!
